Four Christmases

Christmas with large families is very exciting....and numerous. We had 4 Christmases!
Christmas #1: Our little family
We decided to have our family Christmas on Christmas Eve Eve (yes two days before the actual Christmas day). It was a special time. We woke up early (Cole usually does) and Will and I were so excited for Cole to open his presents. As you can see from the pics, we should have given Cole is coffee first...he looks a little sleepy eyed. He got books and a CD of children's songs in his stocking. He also got a basketball goal (his daddy's favorite gift). Of all the toys, I think he still liked the paper and box best!

Christmas #2: At the White House with Mimi, Pops and the family - "Sibling Gift Exchange"
It's a wild crowd!

Cole got some Christmas PJs from Mimi and Pops

Christmas #3: Christmas Eve at the White House (again... :) )
Nana, Grandpa, and Grandma were all able to be with us. We had lots of presents, a BIG breakfast, and just fun times being together. Bear and Lauren were also with us so we could celebrate the engagement.

The tradition continues: passing of the Superhero suit to the engaged couple

Grandpa brought Christmas riddles for a contest - Ash and her team were the winners!

Grandma - looking young as ever! She is amazing- traveling all the way from Louisiana to see all the babies.

We got together with Will's Knoxville church friends growing up. Here all all the kids...
Cole and Nolan are just a few month apart

New...New...New

For a NINE month old everything is really a NEW adventure. This year also presented a fun "newness" in everything as we got to experience the holiday season with a little one. Although Cole does not quite understand Santa, Roudolph, Frosty and the Christmas "buzz", he definitely got in the spirit and enjoyed himself (notice the WIDE mouth in all the pics!). We had so much fun and I hate for it to end. But as we took down the tree yesterday, Will and I reflected on what a fun time we had this year. Thanks to all our family for the special memories. It was a great Christmas!

Cole's first snow. It looks like he has had enough pictures for one day!

Cole is discovering the Christmas Tree, ornaments, and presents - He loves the paper and bows.

We had a surprise visit from Santa. Cole is touching Santa's beard. He is not quite sure about this guy.
Cole and his Great grandmother Hewitt. What a special gift to be with her.

Cousins, Cousins, and More Cousins

The holidays are always filled with family adventures. The festivities began with a visit from the aunts, uncles, and cousins from Ohio, Memphis, and Arkansas for Thanksgiving. Everyone crashed at Mimi and Pop's. We played, ate, laughed, and ate some more. This is a picture of Nana and Grandpa White with all nine GREAT-grandchildren. The nine cousins - Riley, Royce, Cole, Lydia, Wade, Jancey, Charlie, Thomas, and Andrew
The seven GRAND children - Bear, Brad, Jennifer, Amber, Michelle, Denise, and Amanda

The fun continued as we attempted to photograph all the matching grandchildren with Mimi and Pops
