For all you Cole fans screaming for new pics...

Hello everyone, Will here. Cole will be 3 weeks old tomorrow, Saturday April 10, and we finally have some new pics of the little guy to post! He is doing very well and growing like a weed (do I sound like a parent or what?!). Although we are still having some rough nights with the sleeping, he is staying awake more during the day and letting us get sleep in longer patches. He is most comfortable falling asleep in our lap or on our shoulder!!

Things were moving along pretty well until Jen developed an infection in the "feeding area" this week that caused us to return to the doctor yesterday. So, in addition to the sleep deprivation, she feels like she has the flu. An unfortunate setback to adjusting to motherhood.

So, if you have a minute , leave her a comment, note, or word of encouragement. She will love it.

Hey Jen! Cole is so stinkin' cute!
Sorry to hear your are sleep deprived and not feeling great. I remember those days and Clayton was very colicy/reflux-y. He screamed most of the time when he was awake so we were zombies till about the 4 month mark. Hang in there and I promise it will get better in a few more weeks. Just sleep when he does and do not feel guilty about it one bit. Yardwork, housework, and all the other things that need to be done will still be there when he's three!

Hey Jen,
I hate that you are going through a rough time with breast feeding. I know everyone says breast is best, but do what is best for you and Cole. If you want to do it great, if it isn't going well then do formula. I had a few friends who for one reason or another ending up formula feeding and they said after they made the decision to do that they felt so much better and less stressed.

Hopefully you will be getting so more sleep pretty soon. I would say around the 6-8 week mark it got better for each one of mine. Although Andrew has by far been our fussy baby so it might have taken him a little longer.

Also if you haven't read Baby Wise then you may want to try it. It helps give you some direction and serves as a great guide. Sorry this was so long. Love you and your baby Cole is just precious!!
